Thy Glory

We thank Thee, LORD, that we who dwelt
In death's dark vale of shade,
Have seen Thy heav'nly light of Truth,
The promise Thou hast made.
O when shall we Thy Glory see,
And ev'ry knee be bowed to Thee?

"As truly as I live," saith God,
"Shall filled the earth then be
With knowledge of my Glory fair,
As waters cover sea".
The merciful and gracious LORD
Revenges evil with His sword.

Among us dwelt the Word made flesh,
The Father's only Son,
And in his face Thy Glory shone,
Thy grace and Truth made one:
That those by this world's god made blind,
In him, Thy Gospel's light may find.

As out of darkness Thou didst shine,
Thy Word in heart gives Light,
The knowledge of Thy Glory fair
In Jesus' face is bright.
Bring soon Thy Sons to glorious birth,
Then will Thy Glory fill the earth.

Habakkuk 2:14, John 1:14, 2 Corinthians 4:3-6
